Now, addressing the heart of the matter, yes, more sour grapefruit.Employed as a fragrance, the vibe is just too strong for me. Neither taste nor smell, it is not for me. However, I am not a huge fan of grapefruit. The grapefruit is tart and rightly robust. And for that, I have to extend due credit to Dolce & Gabbana. There is no mistake, the smell of grapefruit will aggressively grab you because of its authenticity – absolutely no synthetic feel detected here. And as an aromatic companion, the bergamot effectively bolsters the top notes’ pungency. Now, if you are a distinguished gentleman that adores the bitter aroma of grapefruit, prepare to be fully engulfed by its overwhelming magnitude. Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue Forever explodes with an assertive citrusy introduction of grapefruit and bergamot.Detailed below, I will tell you why I decided to roll with another brand fragrance. She noted this Light Blue flanker was not as popular as others from the past. The saleswoman wholeheartedly agreed with my decision. Instead, I departed with Givenchy Gentleman tucked away in my shopping bag. Spoiler alert: I did not pull the proverbial trigger. However, during a casual visit to the shopping mall, I spotted the new 2021 release of their shelves. Given my previous experiences with the Light Blue collection, my intentions were to blind buy a bottle. I have always welcomed a Dolce & Gabbana release, and this year was no different as I was excited about putting my nose on the latest – Light Blue Forever.

Subsequently, a plethora of Light Blue iterations (flankers) followed with periodic releases throughout the years. Now, one of my favorite men’s fragrances, Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue, was launched 14 years ago in 2007. Generally, they were easy to wear and inoffensive to the surrounding public. The fragrances that I have experienced were always pleasant and smelled fantastic. I quite enjoy this one, and do in fact prefer it to the original.Historically, I have long held an ardent appreciation for designer fragrances released from luxury Italian house Dolce & Gabbana.
#LIGHT BLUE DOLCE AND GABBANA FOR ME SKIN#
After the 2 hour mark this scent becomes close to the skin for me, and lasts 5-6 hours, which is actually pretty good for an acquatic fragrance. Nothing too obtrusive, just how I like, though with more sprays you could definitely increase that cloud. Sillage is pretty good for the first 2 ish hours, creating a nice small cloud of scent with 2 sprays.

I still get hints of the fruitiness, but this is undoubtedly still the acquatic fragrance people have learned to know and love. Once this fragrance dries down, the scent becomes the very familiar Light Blue DNA, with that great salty acquatic chord coming to the front. The fruity opening lasts about 30 minutes to an hour on my skin. While the opening doesn't smell like a fruit smoothie, it is noticably fruitier than the original DNA in my opinion, which I quite like. Light Blue Eau Intense opens with a citrusy accord, which is listed as mandarin and frozen grapefruit. The intense version is in fact, more intense than the original, which sometimes is not the case with these fragrances. It is nothing terribly special, but a nice salty aquatic with decent performance and a very familiar DNA that will satisfy 99% of the general public. The original light blue, for those who haven't smelled it, is a classic spring/summer fragrance. Tonight I am coming with you with a fragrance review of a newer version of the famous Dolce and Gabbana Light Blue.
