This preset is the best picture preset to use in a darkened room, similar to a movie theater. It's dimmer than Vivid or Standard and provides a warmer color temperature.
Cinema: This preset provides appropriate brightness, contrast, and color temperature level for movies. Although this saves power, it can dampen picture quality. APS (Auto Power Saving): This adjusts picture quality in relation to power consumption using the LG automatic picture dimming control. If used, it should only be in a natural light environment. Vivid: Heightened levels of contrast, brightness, and sharpness are applied. It is usually enabled when you first turn on the TV. Standard: This provides acceptable viewing for video and movie content. I am now using iMovie to make my slide shows less sophisticated but adequate. After the second crash, erase and reinstall, I went out and bought an external hard drive for use with the mac's Time Machine backup system. After hours spent on the phone with Applecare, I was obliged to reinstall the Lion operating system after erasing everything on the hard disk. Unfortunately, the program caused my system to freeze up and the computer would not re-boot. I was excited to find a product with the features of Photo to Movie, especially the zoom and pan for individual photos. 
I have a new 27 inch Imac bought specifically for video editing and slide show production.
